A Lewistown woman is facing charges after she allegedly gave heroin to a Coudersport man who overdosed in 2015.
The arrest of 31-year-old Desiree Tipping comes after police investigated the fatal drug overdose of 47-year-old Michael Landworthy. On the morning of November 3rd, 2015, Landworthy was discovered unresponsive in his car. The car was parked at the Nittany Minit Mart in Galeton. Later on the same day, Langworthy was declared deceased by Potter County Coroner Kevin Dusenbury. The Galeton Borough Police Department filed charges against Tipping on May 25th.

Magisterial District Judge Delores Weiss on May 27, 2016, presided over the preliminary arraignment for Tipping. Tipping was arraigned at the Magisterial District Court 55-4-03. Tipping was assigned bail in the amount of $25,000. Tipping was unable to meet bail and was remanded to the Potter County Prison pending the next hearing. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 16, 2016, at 1:30 p.m., also in front of Magisterial District Judge Delores Weiss.
Christopher J. Brackman of the Galeton Borough Police Department is listed as the arresting officer for Tipping. The charges relate to an alleged incident that happened on November 3, 2015.
