One Seriously Injured in ATV Crash at Potter County Family Campground

One person was seriously injured in an ATV accident that occurred at the Potter County Family Campground in Coudersport on Friday, June 3rd.

Police responded to the scene at about 10:13 p.m. According to the Sweden Township Police Department, the person who was operating the ATV is from North Tonawanda, NY. The victim was traveling on Irish Farm Road close to Sky Top Road. After losing control of the ATV, the victim was thrown from the vehicle.

When police arrived, the victim was in a cabin at the campground. He was taken to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital where he was interviewed. The victim was arrested for a suspected DUI, and police took a blood draw so they could determine what the BAC was. The victim’s injuries were considered traumatic, and he was flown to Erie County Medical Center for further treatment.
