Tractor Trailer Hits Trees Head-On in Wetmore Township, One Injured

One person was injured when a tractor trailer hit trees head-on in McKean County’s Wetmore Township on Tuesday, May 31st.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police in Kane in a report, 57-year-old Gary P. Reesman of Rimersburg, PA, was was driving a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia in a north direction on SR 66. As Reesman neared T319/Pennsylvania Avenue, he failed to drive along a left bend in the roadway. The tractor trailer went of the east berm before traveling down a small embankment. Then, the tractor trailer hit several trees head-on as well as from its left side. The tractor trailer rested in a north direction. The crash occurred about 300 feet to the north of T319 at approximately 11:47 p.m.

Reesman, who was wearing his seat belt, had injuries that were likely minor. He was treated at the scene by Kane EMS. The tractor trailer had disabling damage, and it was towed from the scene by Big Dog Heavy Duty Recovery & Repair. Reesman was charged with a moving violation.
