The Pennsylvania State Police in Mansfield say a Wellsboro driver was not hurt when her SUV rolled down an embankment in Morris Township on Saturday, March 18th.

57-year-old Rebecca S. Thierwechter was driving east on State Route 414 in a 2007 Hummer H3 at approximately 10:29 p.m. State Route 414 has an uphill slope, and there is a sharp embankment beside the westbound lane. The roadway was slippery, and Thierwechter lost control of the SUV as a result. The SUV moved through the westbound lane before exiting the roadway. Then, the SUV rolled over onto its driver’s side as it went down the embankment. The SUV rested about 20 feet away from the roadway. The crash scene was located 673 feet to the east of an unnamed street.

Thierwechter was wearing her seat belt, and she was not injured. Police did not charge her with a moving violation.
