The former superintendent of Wellsboro Area School District was recently charged with a DUI.

According to court records, the blood alcohol level of 40-year-old Christopher R. Morral was allegedly .16 or more on Saturday, March 4th, 2017.

Morral resigned as the superintendent at Wellsboro in March of 2016. Morral was placed on administrative leave three months prior to his resignation. At that time, Morral was working on a lawsuit in which he alleged that his reputation was being tarnished by the school board directors.

Morral was arraigned at the Magisterial District Court 04-3-02. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 4th, 2017, at 1:30 p.m., in front of  Magisterial District Judge Robert L. Repard.

Samuel M. Delosa of the Wellsboro Borough Police Department is listed as the arresting officer for Morral. The charges relate to an alleged incident that happened on March 4th, 2017.
