A Wellsboro man is facing drug charges after police say he had heroin in his possession in Williamsport in December.
According to the Williamsport City Police Department, 26-year-old Daryl Duran Abplanalp allegedly had a total of six bags of heroin in his possession on December 15th, 2016. He also allegedly possessed drug paraphernalia. Abplanalp was on Maynard Street’s first block when police say the drugs were found. You can read Abplanalp’s court report below.

Magisterial District Judge Christian David Frey on February 28th, 2017, presided over the preliminary arraignment for Abplanalp. Abplanalp was arraigned at the Magisterial District Court 29-1-01. Abplanalp was assigned bail in the amount of $2,500. Abplanalp met his bail on March 7th. Abplanalp’s Arraignments & ARDs is scheduled for March 20th, 2017, at 8:30 a.m., in the Court of Common Pleas of Lycoming County, in front of President Judge Nancy L. Butts. In addition, a Guilty Plea hearing is scheduled for May 19th, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., also in front of President Judge Nancy L. Butts.
Clinton J. Gardner of the Williamsport City Police Department is listed as the arresting officer for Abplanalp. The charges relate to an alleged incident that happened on December 15th, 2016.
