BLOSSBURG WINTER THEATRE ARTS CAMP
The 52 third through ninth graders participating in the two-week Hamilton-Gibson Winter Theatre Arts Camp are rehearsing for public performances of the musical “Madagascar Junior” at 7:30 p.m. this Fridayand Saturday, Jan. 13 and 14 in the school auditorium on Hannibal Street in Blossburg. The camp will officially end following the Saturday night show. ELKLAND WINTER THEATRE ARTS CAMP AUDITION/REGISTRATION REMINDER:
Third through ninth graders in the Northern Tioga School District area who want to participate in Hamilton-Gibson’s Winter Theater Arts Camp in Elkland can register and audition Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Clark Wood Eementary School in Elkland; this Friday, Jan. 13 at Williamson High School in Tioga and Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Cowanesque Valley High School in Westfield.
The two-week Elkland camp will be in the auditorium adjacent to the Clark Wood Elementary School at 110 Addison Hill Road every day after school Monday, Jan. 23 through Thursday, Feb. 2 plus on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.
This camp is free for students who live in the school district area due to a grant provided by the Deerfield Charitable Trust, the camp’s sponsor. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, the script, printed materials and instruction in theatre arts.
The students will give a school-time matinee performance of the musical “Madagascar Junior” on Friday, Feb. 3 and two Pay-What-You-Can shows for the public at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3 and 4, all in the auditorium in Elkland.
